Where the “Woo” Meets the Work

Hi friend,

I’m not generally one to talk about things like manifesting, but it’s not lost on me that my husband Zach and I designed our ketubah (Jewish wedding contract) more than a year before we set sight on our future home, and even longer before we discovered it would yield the gorgeous cherry blossoms we were delighted to wake up to a few weeks ago.

So I guess there may be something to be said for envisioning your dream so you can make it your reality.

That said, the inner pragmatist/lawyer in me will almost certainly never feel comfortable leaving important things totally up to chance.  So I could not be more on board with Jenna Kutcher’s theory that “when the ‘woo’ meets the work,” that’s when the magic really happens.

With this in mind, I’ve developed a Goal Setting Guide that marries these approaches.

It starts with visioning and values alignment – i.e., identifying the core values that underpin your goal (since science shows that doing this will not only dramatically increase your likelihood of reaching your goal, but also make the attainment of that goal far more fulfilling).

But it then shifts to planning the precise action steps you’ll take to bring your dream to fruition.

Notably, a key step involves acknowledging the inevitably of obstacles that may threaten to, and even succeed in (temporarily) throwing you of course, and identifying responses you can adopt and resources you can draw on to overcome them.

This is essential because another fact that’s not lost on me is that the above photo reflects the THIRD ketubah that Zach and I purchased after the first two were rendered obsolete due to COVID-related postponements. (Fun fact: We actually postponed our wedding FIVE times in the early stages of the pandemic, but we fortunately wised up after ketubahs #1 and 2 and waited until the last minute to finalize the date on the last one.).

So I’m not saying that it will necessarily be quick or linear, but I do truly believe that with the right mindset, work ethic, AND action plan, you can make your dreams your reality – with the caveat that they may end up being even more magical than you imagined :)

So, my friend, do you have a goal you’ve been dreaming of that’s remained beyond your reach?

If so, I encourage you to check out the Goal Setting Guide so you can make some magic of your own.

Because you deserve absolutely nothing less.

I look forward to hearing how it works for you! In the meanwhile, please know that I am cheering you on.

With love,

Jordana
