Going deeper: Cohort Programs
A great keynote changes how people think. Changing how they work is a different undertaking.
For organizations that want lasting behavior change at scale, Jordana's cohort programs combine evidence-based training, individual coaching, facilitated peer learning, and structured experimentation to help participants apply new ideas to the real challenges they're facing — and keep building on them over time.
What cohorts do differently
They normalize what feels shameful. Most lawyers assume they’re the only one struggling. When someone names out loud what everyone else has been carrying privately, the question shifts from “What’s wrong with me?” to “How are other people handling this?”
They foster genuine connection. Colleagues get to know each other on a more human level than they would have in the ordinary course of work, strengthening relationships, belonging, and ties to the organization.
They create accountability. Knowing they’ll be asked to share what they tried when the group reconvenes makes it much more likely that participants will actually put new strategies into practice.
They give ideas time to become habits. Participants leave with something to try, return having tested it, and ground the next conversation in what they learned. Each session compounds the impact of the one before it.
How it works
Each cohort brings a small group together over several months, with a structure designed to turn insight into lasting change. A typical cohort program includes:
Opening 1:1 coaching sessions to clarify each participant’s individual goals and obstacles and connect the program directly to their situation
Monthly facilitated cohort sessions, each tackling a different dimension of thriving in a demanding profession
Structured practice between sessions, where participants test what they’ve learned against real challenges and bring the results back to the group
Closing 1:1 coaching sessions to reflect on individual progress and create an action plan for building on it
Content is tailored to your organization, your participants, and what the group surfaces along the way.
Recurring themes include strategic self-care, reframing counterproductive thought patterns, shifting from perfectionism to a growth-oriented mindset, communicating with impact, and managing energy under sustained pressure.
Sample cohorts
Flourishing as a First-Year: Building confidence, resilience, sustainable work habits, and the relationship skills needed to thrive in practice
Thriving in the Middle: Navigating the shift from “doing great work” to managing people, priorities, and relationships, with a focus on sustaining well-being and performance as responsibilities expand
Leading with Purpose: Meeting the opportunities and challenges of leadership with greater clarity, confidence, and influence, while building an approach to high performance that doesn’t sacrifice what matters most
Proven at scale
Jordana has led cohort programs inside some of the world’s leading law firms, working with lawyers at every stage of their careers — from incoming first-years learning to find their footing, to midlevel associates stepping into supervisory roles, to senior lawyers navigating the demands of leadership. Multiple programs that began as pilots for a single group have expanded, both to reach more attorneys and to provide continued support as participants advance. Firms that have run these programs have earned national and international awards for their professional development and well-being work.
Cohort programs can stand alone, or serve as a natural next step after a keynote or workshop — giving participants the opportunity to move from “That was interesting” to “I’ve got support to make this stick.”
Feedback from past cohort participants
“This was the most valuable program the firm has provided in my time here so far. It should be mandatory for all associates to aid in retention and create a sustainable career.”
— Associate, AmLaw 50 firm
“Since the start of the program I've been able to spot thinking traps and reduce my anxious spirals, helping me maintain my focus and get more work done, especially when everything needs to be done at once and there's no time to spare. I've also gotten better about not personalizing feedback, and increased my courage to solicit feedback so I can keep getting better.”
— Associate, AmLaw 50 firm
“This year has been challenging. But there is no question I've been better able to handle the challenges because of this program. It's made me much more confident that I'll be able to go the distance in this job. I'm grateful to be at a firm that views this as a priority.”
